Been very excited about sharing these images from Winnie and Jason’s wedding for a while now. These two lovebirds both went to Queen’s University, and eventually met at Telus in Toronto (hence why we did their engagement session there). Now, four years and one Bermuda proposal later, they’ve finally tied the knot!
Full-of-life, fun-and-quirky, food-loving Winnie and Jason’s beautiful wedding day took place at the Old Mill in Ancaster, with a stint at Tiffany Falls for some couple photos. Together with Marek, I had a wonderful time photographing their special day, one that was filled with beautiful sunlight, candid moments, and a whole lot of yellow – seriously, check out those groomsmen socks and yellow ‘bridal’ boots!
Hope you enjoy the images as much as we enjoyed shooting them!
I met Carla (Nick’s sister) while photographing Francine and Nick’s wedding last year. Carla really loved what we did for her brother and wanted us to be her wedding photographers as well. We were extremely thrilled and honoured when she commissioned us to document her and Ryan’s wedding. I got to know Carla and Ryan closer throughout the year and more so at the engagement session at Liberty Village.
The ceremony and reception both took place at the beautiful Liuna Gardens in Stoney Creek. The day was filled with lots of love and laughter. The sun played hide and seek during the ceremony and photo shoot which gave Marek and I a workout while we rapidly had to readjust our cameras for the right exposure. Liuna Gardens is a great venue with lots of nice gardens, water fountains and nice landscapes. I enjoyed the setting, however I’m a big fan of walking outside of the beaten path and trying something different. I also love contrast. So instead of doing the whole shoot in the area that’s “desirable” for most photographers, we ventured a bit outside the confines of the garden and into the “we don’t want you to see this” section. This is where we found the John Deer tractor and piles of skids. I found this area to be very interesting, unique and fun. It allowed us to create some fine art wedding images that I know Carla and Ryan will enjoy for generations to come.
Carla and Ryan – Once again, a big congratulations to the both of you!!!
Hope you enjoy these images, and feel free to leave a comment or share with your friends
